The formation of a positive green strategic orientation in manufacturing enterprises is an important prerequisite for promoting green transformation and achieving high-quality development. Based on the TOE theoretical framework, this study proposes an integrated driving model for the green strategic orientation of enterprises and uses NCA and fs-QCA methods to conduct configuration analysis on first-hand survey data of 371 manufacturing enterprises. The study found that: (1) The green strategic orientation of enterprises is the result of the complex interaction of multiple antecedents, and there are no necessary conditions for the formation of a positive/negative green strategic orientation. (2) There are three driving modes for a positive green strategic orientation: "all-factor synergy type", "technology-resource driven type", and "technology-competition driven type", among which "all-factor synergy type" is the most common. (3) There is one driving mode for a negative green strategic orientation: "technology-competition deficiency type". (4) Technological conditions are the most important driving factor for the green strategic orientation of enterprises. (5) Under specific circumstances, there are obvious substitution relationships between different conditions and factors. Finally, targeted countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from the perspectives of enterprise managers and policymakers to promote the formation of a positive green strategic orientation in enterprises.
